Sluggy Freelance
A dream featuring Riff from the comic
I was just watching. The world was dark and looked like someone coloring in line drawings with Photoshop.
Except there was an actual human person moving around in it. On closer inspection, it was Riff from popular online comic Sluggy Freelance.
He was a regular human being, though, not a drawing. He was in my family's living room, pouring Raisin Bran into a bowl.
Then, out of the mysterious depths of the front hallway, vampires attacked! The vampires looked badly rendered - I'm talking visible polygons.
It was sort of strange, watching a living human who should have been a drawing run away from pixilated refugees from a bad arcade game in an atmosphere that still looked drawn and Photoshopped.
The vampires chased Riff into the kitchen, where he grabbed some spatulas and spoons and staked them.
Years ago, my father made a handle for a broken spatula out of lilac wood. It was really pretty, and he spent hours sanding it and staining it to get it right. I don't know if we still have it.
Anyway, Riff staked one of the vampires with that.
It was pretty exciting.
