Music soothes the savage beast.
That, and tranquilizer darts.
Requests [2001-11-25 08:48:46] Jacques Kitsch
If you are taking requests, "Highway 61" might be fun, I got a siren whistle so I can do that whistle part in the intro. That "Billy the Kid" movie with Dylan was "Alias Jones" was good, I liked the soundtrack. Besides "Knockin' on Heaven's Door," there was an instrumental that was C-F-G7, and kind of "Da-da-da-da...da-da-da-da-da-da" humming with it. But it starts with a few C strums, then a strong F, da-da-da-DA!
The C to F transition is very powerful. "Knock on Wood" as a uke song would be haunting.
that would be "Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid" [2001-11-25 11:10:58] Lou Duchez
You rock, Annna and Matie and Kthor!! Youse guys are the best.

Speaking of rocking, good news: "The Chris Isaak Show" has been picked up by VH1! So those of you have haven't been able to catch the first season on Showtime, can catch the reruns on basic cable. There's a marathon today (Sunday) -- go investigate.

Of course, they've had to clean it up for VH1: it's amazing how these people can say "airhead" when their mouths are shaped so as to pronounce "asshole". And there's none of the nudity that we've come to expect on Showtime. Still, good TV is always good TV.

Season two of "The Chris Isaak Show" starts in January, on Showtime.
Wicked Game [2001-11-25 11:27:29] Jacques Kitsch
I lekked to creppe when I heard Wicked Game in a TeeVee commercial! First time I heard it was in Wild at Heart. I went to look for more Chris Isaak stuff, and found a listing of Oregon Movies, which is hooked to the Northern California movies. I got the soundtrack from Wild at Heart and a single of Wicked Game. One of my favorite lines from Wild at Heart is where Laura Dern says: "Hotter than Georgia asphalt."

Just try it, you skinny hippie.
Ohh god what have I done [2001-11-29 22:35:16] K. Thor Jensen
I have recently realized the error of my ways in insulting Andrew. I now kowtow and prostrate myself and beg of him to sodomize me anyway he sees fit, for I am a lowly dog deserving no better
Ahem. [2001-11-30 00:50:29] Annna
Andrew, darling, I hate to tell you this but I can see your I.P. address.

No impersonating other people, you damn hippie.
No see [2001-11-30 12:07:39] Andrew
Umm Kthor came over for the sodomy and then he posted that.
... [2001-12-03 11:36:03] K. Thor Jensen
You would think that the trail of death I leave in my wake would discourage these things.
