At first... [2002-06-09 00:10:47] Jacques Kitsch
I thought that he was choking his rabbit, but I see he's hitting the wrong nail with less enthusiasm.

Ghost Image [2002-06-09 19:27:06] Jacques Kitsch
I like the ghost image to indicate movement, sometimes there are arc segments, but this works OK. I like when cartoons are surprised and there are huge droplets flying out of their heads. Also, when comic characters are dizzy or space-out, and there are dots and bubbles floating before their eyes.
How do you feel... [2002-06-10 00:41:58] Telemachus
... when you look at the TV at children with bloated stomachs and flys eating their eyes, you see victims of wars, with legs 3 foot further from their body than they should be?

Clearly this is a representation of the desensitising process that our society is going through. The news brings us all the pictures, but we can just sit back and watch it brings us no closer to the action and gives us no understanding of whats happening.

On this same TV I saw dinosaurs walk across the screen in jurassic park, if those dinosaurs weren't real those other pictures just can't be real either. I just don't care anymore, it no longer has to entertain me it just has to exist. Pictures and sound flashing across the screen. The new religion as we make tv dinner sacrifices in front of our altar. And maybe when we're done we'll just pop into the garage and hit our hand repeatedly with a hammer, just to check if we're on TV or in real life.

Moving on [2002-06-10 01:04:10] Jacques Kitsch
Yeah, desensitisation. It's like the whole closure and moving on thing numbing experience into marketable-sized portion-controlled infobits sanitized for your dining pleasure while being only slightly radiozctive.
Maybe... [2002-06-10 04:59:36] Telemachus
Pain is the only reality we have, but our hero(anti-hero) has discovered after a while your hand gets numb anyway and it stops hurting.

Does that mean he's stopped existing?
finally [2002-06-10 07:12:30] posthumous
some people understand me. I am happy, yet frightened.

Hes not wearing safety goggles. Almost EVERY tool has a label on it that says you should wear safety goggles. Did he read this label and choose to ignore it? Or are there simply too many labels to read? Assuming he knows better, and thus unprotected from the shrapnel of his entropic hammerings, this fellow hopes not only to feel pain but to possibly blind himself in the process. Poor pounding blighter.
