Whatever it is, its a little Escher-esque, especially under Frank's legs. Was it specifically designed to be higher on one side for his head and lower on the other for his feet? Is this a certain model, or did he have it custom-built (perhaps from the parts of other chairs)? Maybe it's Escher's response to the Dali lips sofa.

I was just at Melbourne's Dali exhibition at the beacon and saw the lips sofa in all it's glory. I didn't think they would make a real entire set of the picture that....uh....features it. You know the one, with the lounge room, containing the sofa....yeah, that one.
