This reminds me of an old issue of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, wherein Sabrina's boyfriend was completely captivated by a new television series--most notably by the latest episode's cliffhanger ending: how would the hero save himself? he wanted to know. Another thing he didn't know was that Sabrina's aunt or some shit had created the show with her devilrous majick--and furthermore had no idea how to resolve the cliffhanger, or care. Naturally Sabrina was placed in a predicament: how to explain to her guy that show would probably not be ending in a satisfactory manner, i.e., at all, without--and this is the important part--letting on that her family was in fact a coven of unholy witches?

I don't remember how it ended.

The fuzzy slippers and the mu-mu make me want to run away to the nearest nudie bar to drown my sorrows in a sea of beer.

Once again I'm at a loss. Is it funny because the grandma is thinking of molesting the small boy? Anyway, to cheer up your day, I'm going to be gone until Friday so try to continue your lives without my pointless posts.

staniel's comment last week intrigued me. He wants to return to the days of Silent Pictures. I'll try to keep my words toward the edges so you can cover them with your thumb.

I do try to draw pictures that have a certain resonance in and of themselves... and I certainly try to avoid the complete subjection of picture to words that you get from a comic like The Far Side, for example...

p.s. Yes, Antwan, it is obvious that Grandma has been molesting the boy for years now and is at this very moment secretly molesting the boy from within her mumu. Note the expression on his face... surprised yet resigned. You probably thought his mouth was open because I had no idea who was going to say what when I drew the picture, but of course it is the result of careful design, as always. And yes, Antwan, it is the ceaseless sexual abuse that makes this cartoon so uproariously funny.

Is this funny because the grandmother is old, or because the boy has an erection hidden by the chair?

The question is , "Is it funny?" and if it is what kind of funny, funny ha ha, or funny smell?
