Picture (Fish)
Actually, I haven't seen the film, and only just found out while reading some more reviews that "I hate you!" is sort of a pivotal phrase in the film. Well, it's hate-related, anyway.
I saw it with my brother and his daughter. I liked it, for a kid's movie. It was more intense (the beginning, anyway) than I thought it would be.
Pixar can make some good animation.
Is their some grammatical rule about listing people relative to someone? Instead of "My brother and his daughter," would "My brother and my niece" been more appropriate? It sounds repetative.
Great minds think (almost) alike. Jun 14, 2003 12:33 AM, Jun 14, 2003 12:38 AM
I would go with, "My brother and his daughter" because "My brother and my niece" might not be the same thing. Also, the second case is implicit in the first.
Nemo was kewl. And the turtles....oh yeah, I'm changing my name to "The Cheat" cause I like the cheat more than zim now. is that fish real?
sorry for making the page huge. editors: feel free to delete that. i can summerise it.
fishie!
(repeat)
sakana desu.
Poser prop rendered in Bryce 3-D, not real sakana. You know that Nemo is Omen spelled backwards? Sakana wa yasukute shinsen de ii desu!
thingsihate's new 3-D cartoonist! you go!
I never noticed that "Nemo" is "omen" backwards. Interesting. When I saw that there was a movie called "Finding Nemo" (that's the title of the movie, right?), I wondered whether the reference was to Captain Nemo and was just a generic underwater-things reference or whether it was a reference to the fact that "nemo" means "no-one" in Latin. Then I couldn't remember whether or not Captain Nemo is a reference to the fact that "nemo" means "no-one" in Latin, because I read the book an extremely long time ago. Is it?
Nemo = omen. Holy.....I saw Bruce allmighty..it kicks nemos butt out of the water. yea...and...I am The Cheat
I think that I remember in Verne's book that Capt. Nemo had chosen his name for it being omen backwards, but it is also quite possible that Verne had been aware of the Latin meaning as well.
Zim, don't plagarize homestarrunner. And you're wrong about those movies-- having seen both, I can definitely say that Finding Nemo was fantastic, whereas Bruce Almighty sucked really really badly. It was the worst Jim Carrey movie I have seen in awhile. He looked pathetic and old.
I'll buy you a pizza.
I read an article in the press that detailed microchips inserted in the animals at the shelter and wondered how far away we are from microchips being inserted into humans so I researched the web. After seeing how close we are to having this forced on us as it is being forced upon the beast at the animal shelter I prayed about it and a voice told me, " You have yet to decipher NEMO...OMEN " Then I thought to myself wait where have I heard the word nemo from and it occured to me the fish story NEMO. Then it occured to me that fish are Christains and we are all encouraging one another to keep smiming, never giving up faith till we reach our destination which is our Father.
I hate people picking on my highly original name. And bloody Pixar owe me money!
Yes, Nemo is 'omen' spelled backwards, but unless you're speaking Hebrew (where changing the characters around in words causes opposing meanings), then it's no biggie. After all, God is WHAT backwards???
Anyway, it's great being nobody, you should try it. And if you're female you could date me and still say you're single. "I'm dating nobody." But then I'd hate you and have to whine about you, so better not.
